Mary Pickering was born in Dublin, Ireland. She is a self taught artist who began her career working at hand painting silk and lace clothes. From this Mary has developed a very distinctive style of contemporary painting.

The development of Mary Pickering’s art has progressed over the years as Mary experimented and mastered a variety of mediums including water colours, pastels and oils.
